Background

 

CLC was developed as a result of responding to a need to “make disciples of all the nations” found in Matthew 28:18-20:-

 

Matthew 28:18-20  “18And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me

in heaven and on earth.  19Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all things that I

have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.  "Amen.”

Oversight

 

CLC was founded in 2003 under the umbrella of Steppin’ Out Trust, founded in 1999, which is a charity in the process of being registered with the Jersey Charities Commission and is affiliated with the International Federation of Christian Churches (IFCC) and adheres to their Statement of Faith.  The purpose of the Trust is:-

 

  • Promotion of church unity;

  • Training and equipping the body of Christ for the work of ‘The Great Commission (evangelism, discipleship, teaching, healing and deliverance); and

  • Encouraging the body of Christ to engage in higher praise and deeper intimacy during worship.

 

Each individual CLC campus has the oversight of a local church leader.

Purpose of CLC

 

 

The purpose of CLC is to impart Bible truths into each student and we pray that during your time at CLC each student will:-

 

  • enjoy a deeper and more intimate relationship with God;

  • deepen your faith in Jesus Christ and God’s Word;

  • be equipped to live a relevant, effective and victorious Christian life;

  • develop Christian virtues and build a strong character;

  • receive revelation knowledge of your authority in Christ;

  • learn how to enjoy biblical prosperity and walk in divine health;

  • recognise your rights, privileges and responsibilities as a Christian;

  • establish a positive attitude to servanthood in the local church; and

  • realise that you can fulfil your destiny and God’s call on your life.

Accreditation

 

Our emphasis is not on ‘head knowledge’ and theological facts - rather lifestyle and equipping the student to do whatever God is calling them to do for the furtherance of His Kingdom.  Therefore, at this point, CLC is not accredited with any State or Governing body.

 

While the modules are very much biblically based and scripture verses form the basis of all the training, the student is encouraged to engage in a lifestyle of biblical principles. 

 

Our focus is on the importance and truth of God’s Word, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the reality of who we are in Christ and the power of prayer, praise and worship.

 

We place great emphasis on teamwork, integrity and raising up leaders who will promote and increase the Kingdom of God, develop and train leaders in the body of Christ and encourage believers towards intimacy with God.

CLC is providing material (free of charge) for the training and equipping of students in many parts of the world.  In addition, through Steppin' Out Ministries we are working alongside ethical leaders in many poor, underprivileged areas of Africa providing food, shelter, transport, etc. (see newsletters).
